Hand Hygiene Practices Benchmarking

Hand Hygiene Practices ranks first in preventing HAIs. Performing correct hand hygiene practices and employing appropriate techniques and cleansing products are essential to eliminating the transfer of pathogens.

Data collection: A checklist is used for direct observation of physicians, nurses, and technicians in each peri-operative area to evaluate multiple aspects of Hand Hygiene Practices per CDC/WHO guidelines and as evaluated by CMS and accreditation evaluators during surveys.

Safe Injection Practices Benchmarking

Safe Injection Practices are included as a set of infection prevention processes to inhibit pathogen transmission to patients. A 2017 study reported by the ISMP demonstrated that healthcare practitioners are still violating best practices associated with safe injections and are placing patients at risk of serious infection.

Patient Satisfaction Benchmarking

Patient satisfaction evaluation is an outcome measure and benchmark for assessing how patients perceive their quality of care, services provided, and protection of their rights, as well as maximizing patient outcomes, increasing accountability, and productivity among all members of the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement.

Data Collection: A 4-point Likert scale customizable survey designed to capture measurable and objective responses is used to query patients’ perceptions of key areas for care, personnel, facility, and processes.
